Meeting

Joshua blinked his eyes. One moment he was getting punched in the stomach by Jake, his ‘boyfriend’, next he was here. But where was here? He was in a room that was quite empty except for a large four poster bed with luxurious looking deep red blankets and curtains. The silk curtains on the bed were moving from a gust of breeze that was coming through from one side of the room. Joshua turned his head to that side to see a window that stretched from the ceiling down to just under Joshua’s hip, ending in a window seat. The red curtains on the window were blowing much like those on the bed. Through the half open window, Joshua could see a very beautiful landscape. There was a large field with lush green grass and Joshua could see trees in the distance. A garden went along the edge of the house, and from what it looked like Joshua was on the top floor. A dark lake shimmered, reflecting the most stunning sight of all, the night sky. Joshua looked up and saw the full moon looking so close he felt he could reach out and touch it. The sky was crystal clear so the stars could be seen. Joshua’s eyes travelled back to the window seat and he smiled. The book he was reading was laying there. Joshua picked it up, sat down, and lost himself in the story.

Justin opened his big, blue eyes and frowned. Okay, this was weird. What was he doing in the old mansion? He had laid down on his bed and now he was here. Oh, that’s it! He must have fallen asleep. But why would he dream about this place? Justin sighed and decided to walk around. Once he got to the third floor, something was pulling him towards one room at the back of the hallway. Justin decided to go there, it was a dream after all, and he wanted to get to the bottom of this. Justin opened the door to the room and saw it was just a bedroom. Nothing one would really expect to see in a mansion, even an abandoned one, besides the high ceilings and large window. Justin looked toward the window now, noticing it as something Britney would love, and saw there was a person there. A teenage boy, not much older than himself, with black hair and a book in his hands. The boy looked up now and Justin’s breath hitched.

Those eyes. Those ice blue eyes. They looked as though they were piercing into Justin’s soul, unravelling him, learning all his secrets, hopes, dreams, and desires. After the initial shock of those eyes, Justin noticed the rest of the boy. He was wearing a white t-shirt, jeans, and white sneakers, and was exceptionally attractive. Seriously, like he was mega-hot. Super Megan Fox hot. But like, a guy. And Justin had absolutely no idea where these thoughts were coming from. He wasn’t gay, he had a girlfriend. A cheerleader girlfriend who was hot. Super hot. Not like this guy but - again, Justin had no idea where these thoughts were coming from. This guy wasn’t hot. Justin did not find guys attractive. He was captain of the basketball team, dating the hottest girl in school, and subsequently was the coolest guy in the school. He wasn’t a fag. Justin shook his head and blinked a few times.

“Um…hello?” the boy said with a confused look on his face. Oh, the voice. It was like an angel come to earth. Silky smooth, it had a slight accent that Justin couldn’t place.
“Hi, my name is Justin, though you probably know that already.” Justin replied, pulling himself together.
“Why would I know that?” the boy asked, frowning.
“Uh, well this is my dream.” Justin replied in a ‘duh’ tone of voice. Whatever part of his brain that made dreams seriously needed to shape up. The boy’s frown deepened. He looked sort of like how Trace did when he was trying to figure out a hard math problem.
“A dream,” the boy repeated thought fully, seeming slightly disturbed. “Well, if anything, you’re a part of my dream, not the other was around.” he said, looking straight at Justin.
“No, it’s the way I said it before. I am Justin Randall Timberlake, I live at 277 Pickwell Drive, Shelby Forest, Tennessee and I go to Millington High School. I’m real and your not. I can say a proper address and my complete back story, whereas you can’t.” Justin replied.

“Oh, you want my information? Okay, my name is Joshua Scott, I am sixteen years old and I live with my boyfriend Jake on Bolshoy Kislovsky Drive, Moscow, Russia. I have lived there for six months, and before that I lived with my parents in Maryland. I don’t go to school, but when I did I went to Bowie High School. I currently work at a diner about fifteen minutes from my apartment. Good enough?” the boy, Joshua, asked.
“Impossible. I know where this house is and it’s quite close to me. You, however, live in Russia, making it impossible for you to get here. So, you are a dream.” Justin answered.
“Here’s the thing, I obviously think and know I exist. You do as well. I have memories of my life before this moment, as do you. We both have a level of consciousness, therefore both of us must exist. Meaning that we are not here physically, though I’ve never heard of a thing like this happening in a dream nor through involuntary astral projection.” Joshua countered, speaking thoughtfully at the end. Thank goodness for weird kids in Justin’s English class, for without them, Justin would’ve looked stupid asking Joshua what the eff astral projection is.

Justin sighed. “So, did you go to sleep to get here as well?” he asked. Joshua skin turned paler than his usual complexion, which was already very white.
“Umm…no, I guess I must have fallen.” Joshua replied. Justin raised his eyebrow. Joshua looked distracted, scared, almost. Justin just shook his head and figured he was imagining things. So he went over and sat beside Joshua on the window seat.
“Okay, Josh, what do you want to do now?” Justin asked with a smile. This was pretty cool.
“We could fuck like bunnies.” Josh suggested with a dazzling smile that distracted Justin from what Josh said for a little while. But just a little while. When what Josh had said sunk into Justin’s sluggish mind, his eyes widened and his smile disappeared.
“Number one, I have a girlfriend, so, not gay. Number two, you said you have a boyfriend that you live with. Wouldn‘t that be cheating?” Justin hissed.
“Well, seeing as we aren’t physically here, we wouldn’t actually be doing anything physical. It’d be no more cheating than having a fantasy about somebody else would be.” Joshua replied.
“Wow, you sure seem to care a lot about your boyfriend. I’m a real person, not just something you made up in your head, and you can’t control what I do, so it would still be cheating.” Justin stated frowning.
“Look I just think it’d be a cool experience. Our souls would be fucking.” Josh said.

“Wait, wait, wait! Our souls?! As in, my soul is out of my body right now?!” Justin exclaimed. He was totally freaking out.
“Yeah, what do you think astral projection is?” Josh replied softly. Josh was calm and collected. Calmer then the lake outside. The kind of calm that just immediately made a person relax. So Justin did the only thing he could; relaxed. Relaxed and lost himself in those ice blue eyes. They were lined with dark blue around the iris and pupils. Josh was so beautiful and Justin found himself moving closer and closer towards Josh. Suddenly, Justin felt a strange need to cry, though not in sadness. Looking at Josh’s eyes, it seemed Justin wasn’t the only one. Josh pulled back and turned his head to the window, lids closing over the shimmering blue eyes. When Josh’s eyes opened again, Justin could see sadness and longing in the depths as they surveyed the landscape.
“We should probably figure out a way to get back to our bodies.” Justin said seeing the sky getting lighter. Josh sighed.
“I don’t want to go back.” he whispered, tears welling up in the gorgeous eyes.

Justin frowned as Josh turned towards him, ice blue eyes capturing his own once more. This time those ice blue eyes were filled with so much pain that Justin just couldn’t stand it. Those eyes should never express pain. It was like the pictures of the cute little children who were abused his parenting teacher showed the class. Just wrong. Justin realized how close he was to Josh when the ice blue were getting covered by eyelids. Justin’s heart started beating fast with anxiety. Now Josh expected Justin to kiss him. But Justin wasn’t gay, he couldn’t do that. Then the pain of those ice blue eyes were reflected in his mind and Justin’s heart gave a twang. Justin wanted to hold him and make the pain go away. The ice blue eyes were fully closed now, and Justin pressed his forehead against Josh’s. Hesitating a moment, Justin finally brushed his lips against Josh’s. Josh’s hand came up to Justin’s head and rested there, entwining fingers in his hair as Josh pulled Justin closer. And it was good. It was like a million fireworks were going off in Justin’s brain. Justin sighed and caressed Josh’s cheek.

Then there was a weird sensation. It was a tingle all over Justin’s body and suddenly he felt tired, exhausted. And Justin laying down on his side. There was a pillow under his head and a strange beeping noise was going off. Justin opened his eyes and blinked in the morning sunlight. His arm shot out and slammed against the alarm clock, turning it off. Justin sighed and sat up. There was no doubt about it, that was weird.

Josh opened his eyes. His stomach and his head hurt. His face was pressed against the crappy hardwood floors and Josh felt wetness on his forehead. Sitting up, Josh saw it was blood. When Jake punched him in the stomach he must have fell and hit his head on the floor. Josh had to clean it up or Jake would be mad he bled on the floor.
