Britney knows she should be happy. She has the perfect career,
perfect family, perfect looks, perfect boyfriend. She knows she
shouldn't be lonely. She has friends, family - both her boyfriend's and
her own- and did I mention a perfect boyfriend. It's not that it isn't
enough, not that at all. It's just...not right? I mean, don't get me
wrong, Justin is great for her. He's been her best friend since she was
11, they like the same type of music, they have the same career, and
he's good for her career, not like...no, let's not go there now. Stay
on Justin. Britney knows that he loves her, and he treats her well. She
knows it should feel right. But, as I said before, it doesn't. However,
the first time her and Christina's lips met that night after the 2000
VMA's...it felt...right. Everything she should've felt when Justin
kissed her, she only felt when Christina did.
At first Britney
thought Christina was drunk, but she remembered that Christina hadn't
had a chance to drink; right after the show she pulled Britney into her
changing room and kissed her. Britney had a natural reaction to a
random kiss from a close friend, she pushed Christina away from her.
Chrisina got back close to Britney, her slender arms wrapping around
the younger female, her silver sparkly eyeshadow glittering as she
closed her eyes, looked down, trying to hide her tears from Britney. A
few seconds later, Christina looked back into Britney's eyes, the
piercing blue making Britney slightly uncomfortable. "I'm so
s-sorry...I just..can't take it anymore...I love you so much..."
Christina said, crying through the whole thing and whispering the last
part. Britney's response...well there wasn't really any. She just ran
out the door.
Britney knows Christina's no good for her. They
have different values, different morals. One big one being the 'sex
before marrige' philosophies. Britney's on the more child-friendly end
of the scale while Christina's...well...Christina. Britney knows
Christina's not the nicest person in the world. Hell, to be totally
honest, she's a complete bitch. The polar opposite of Britney, the
sweet southern virgin. Britney also knows that there are times, just
around her, when Christina shows a different side. Christina will hug
her, listen to all her problems, make her laugh. She's not a bitch to
Britney. Britney knows the good side of Christina's bitchy attitude.
Christina fiercely defends herself and anyone she cares for.
Britney knows how good Christina looked that night. Tan skin, smoky
eyes, pink lips, blond hair with red highlights. Her clothes were
amazing. Black one sleeved top that showed her stomach, glitttering
silver stripes on it, black skirt, and a beautiful gold necklace. She
was absolutely stunning. She always is. And Britney knows she passed
the chance to be with someone who loves her, and who she lo- cares for.
Britney knows she's crazy, knows it will never work, knows there's a
good chance Christina will break her heart...a good chance she could
lose everything. But - Oh, there Britney goes now, running out the
door, tears streaming down, a determined look on her face. There's only
one place Britney could go looking like that.
To Christina's, to
start a new beginning, to give her old life up, to finally feel right,
to make Christina laugh and smile with her forever...to mend a broken
heart.
