It was when Albus woke up in his dorm room that he started worrying. What would his parents say? Knowing James he wrote to his parents as soon as the feast ended. What would Uncle George say? Why did the Sorting Hat have to place me in Slytherin? I mean, the Common Room and dorm rooms and Head of House and people are great (except Malfoy), but it would be so much easier if I has just got into Gryffindor. I didn't even get to state my opinion on the matter! It just touched my head and screamed 'Slytherin!" Why? My whole family was in Gryffindor, don't I qualify? Then Albus noticed he couldn't tell whether it was day or night, there were no windows. Then he realized Jesse had his torch on.
"Hey Jesse, are you awake?" Albus asked.
"Yeah. Do you know what time it is, I forgot my watch at home." Jesse asked.
"Just a minute." Albus said, searching for his watch.
"7:40. We better get ready, breakfast starts at 8:15." Albus said.
"Do classes start today?" Jesse asked hopefully.
"Yeah. We're going to get our timetables today at breakfast. I have to warn you though, the post comes in the morning, and it's taken by owls. Wizards are at the post offices so if your parents send you a letter you'll get it, and vice versa." Albus explained.
"One thing I don't get is the word 'Muggle' what does it mean?" Jesse asked.
"It's just our word for non-magical people. Your dad's a Muggle so your muggle-born." Albus explained.
"Ok, I get it. We'd better get ready though." Jesse said.
Albus and Jesse walked over to the doors marked 'BATHROOM'. The bathroom had black marble floors, just like the Common Room. The sinks were white porcelain. The taps were snakes with the water coming out of their open mouths. The showers were in stalls. There were six stalls in a bathroom. There weren't any bathtubs. The showers were beautiful. They were the same marble as the floors, the taps silver snakes like the taps in the sinks. In each stall was a black marble toilet. There were fresh towels on a rack by the stall. The towels were green and when Albus felt them, they were warm and soft. There was an empty bin that said used towels and after Albus had finished his shower, he saw the towel disappeared in the bin and another soft, warm towel appeared on the rack.
"Hey, Albus! Did you see the towel bin! That's brilliant!" a dressed Jesse said after Albus got our of the stall.
"Yeah, that's magic. If you think that's amazing, you're going to have a fit today." Albus said chuckling. Jesse smiled.
The boys went down the stairs to find they weren't the only ones who woke up late. There were many people rushing around the Common Room, putting on socks and ties, letters in hand and rushing out into the dungeons.
"Please tell me you know how to get to the Great Hall from here." Jesse questioned Albus.
"Yeah. Follow the people." Albus told Jesse. They walked out of the Common Room, through the dungeons, around a few corners and finally into the Great Hall, following a small group of Slytherin's all the way. Albus and Jesse sat next to George. They got to the Great Hall just in time for breakfast. A few minutes after they came, owls rained down into the Great Hall. They caused complete mayhem on the tables, knocking down jugs of orange juice, stepping in pancakes, and getting feathers in porridge in their quest to deliver letters. And, just as expected, Albus received a letter from his parents. Holding his breath he opened the letter.
Dear Albus,
Congratulations on getting sorted into Slytherin! We are very proud of you and hope you make the correct choices on who you are friends with. I would love to know what the Common Room and dormitories look like, I've heard many nice things from your father about it. James sent us a letter last night and your father and I talked about how you were doing. I know James gave you a tough time about Slytherin at the station last night and I hope your not too upset. I want you to know that it doesn't matter what house you are sorted in, as long as you do the best you can in your classes and make good friends. If your wondering how you father knows what the Common Room looks like, he sneaked in it in his second year. Now I know you've been thinking about the Weasley relative that was sorted into Slytherin and why we don't talk about him, it's not because he was sorted into Slytherin. In his fourth year he was expelled for reasons unknown and he is now an accountant. Your father is at work right now, but he'll right to you sometime this week.
Lots of Love,
Mum
Albus relaxed. That was exactly what he wanted to hear. His mother was so comforting at times. Albus could finally enjoy his time at Hogwarts without worrying what his parents think. They were proud, and that's all he needed to know. Albus knew it was ridiculous, but he was half expecting to get told off, or to get a letter about how disappointed they were. Albus decided he would write to his mum and dad tonight. Albus pilled more sausage, bacon, and pancakes onto his plate and poured another glass of orange juice.
"If there's one thing I can say about this school, it's that the food is bloody fantastic!" Albus heard Jesse say from beside him. Albus saw that Professor Slughorn was coming near the table.
"Looks like we're going to get our timetables now." Albus said to Jesse.
"Cool!" Jesse exclaimed, visibly excited at learning magic. Albus smiled at his enthusiasm.
"Here are your timetables Mr Potter and Mr Polkiss." Professor Slughorn said. Albus looked at his timetable. His time table looked like this:

Albus surveyed it and saw the boring subjects were in the morning, the more fun in the afternoon. Well, at least I'll get to see my sister and Neville in the morning.
Somehow Rose woke up late as well. It was a mystery how seeing as her room was completely lit up when she woke up. As soon as she woke up she realized she was late. None of the other girls were in their beds. She heard one of them in the bathroom. Rose walked over to the wooden door, pushed it open and saw a very beautiful girl washing her face.
"Hi, I'm Kirsten Hall! You must be Rose Weasley." Kirsten said smiling in the mirror. Rose nodded, said hello and looked around the bathroom. The mirror and sinks were curved because of the wall they were on. Rose noticed there were five sinks, one for each girl, and jutting out from the wall there were five white marble stalls, each with a bronze nameplate that had their names on it. The sinks were bronze and there were eagles engraved on the things to turn on the taps. Rose walked into the small stall, not expecting much, and gasped. The stall was the size of a normal bathroom. From the outside it was barely wider than her. Magical enlargement. Rose thought in awe. There was a bronze sink identical to the ones outside, a full white marble bathtub and a towel rack with bronze towels. Rose took a shower in the bathtub, got dressed, ran down the stairs to the Common Room, and out the door. When she was out of the Common Room she realized she had no idea where she was going. Then she saw a glimpse of a black robe on the stairs. She took off, following the person down a few staircases and around a few corners until she reached the Great Hall. She sighed in relief and sat at her table next to Jamie. Jeffrey was across the table and Kathryn sat next to him. The post came just as Rose was sitting down. The family owl Pig came zipping down in front of her. Rose relieved the owl of it's two letters and it took off. Rose opened the one from her mother first and then she opened the one from her father.
Dear Rose,
Good job on getting into Ravenclaw! I read a book that said the Ravenclaw Common Room is the largest and the dorm rooms are the only ones that have a bathroom inside the room. I suppose it's because the Tower was designed for Rowena's students and Rowena built most of the castle. Anyway, your father was quite puzzled at it, but then decided you had more of my genes than the Weasley genes, so it was only natural you should go into Ravenclaw. James sent us a letter that woke us up last night (or rather this morning) about how you got into Ravenclaw and Albus got into Slytherin. Your father was shocked and appalled at Albus getting sorted into Slytherin and nearly wrote a letter to Professor McGonagall saying the hat was going senile. Uncle Harry stopped him of course. James really has no tact whatsoever. He's just like your father.
J Hope you have fun J

Dear Rose,
You got sorted into Ravenclaw? I know I shouldn't be surprised seeing as you take after your mother, but bloody hell! I certainly was not expecting that. A bigger surprise for me would be Al getting put into Slytherin…BLOODY HELL! That was completely shocking! Anyway, I hope you are doing well.
Love,
Dad
Rose finished reading with a smile. Her mum and dad always made her laugh or smile. Rose looked up and realized her timetable was being passed to her. She looked at it, excited to see what she would be taking.

Rose smiled. Her first and last classes would be with Albus. Good. I really want to see how he's doing.
